Stewardship, in its simplest terms, is an acknowledgment that everything I have is a gift from God. Being a Stewardship parish means that all parishioners are asked to ponder their many gifts of time, talents that they have been given, and treasure that they are blessed with through annual income. In making a yearly assessment of these gifts, we are asked to commit a portion back to the parish. It is through this Stewardship by all members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton that we can fund our many programs, hire professional staff, and offer faith-based education through our parish school and our parish religious education program.
In order to assist with your assessment, find your gross household income in the chart below. Move across on the same line to find the amount you currently give weekly. Move straight up the column to determine your percentage giving. Please consider committing at the next level to the left. For example, if your Stewardship of Finance is 2.0%, consider committing 3.0%. If your Stewardship of Finance is less than 2%, consider raising your commitment to 2%. Consider setting your eventual goal at 5% of more to Parish Sunday collections and an additional 1% to the Diocesan Annual Appeal, and the remaining 4% to whatever God places on your heart to support. We hope that you will also consider automatic stewardship on a monthly basis…it is very easy to sign up.
Please sign up for Stewardship today. Thank you for your continued generosity!
